Job Summary:

​

  • The Remote Social Media Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing social media strategies to increase brand awareness and engagement. This is a remote position that requires strong creativity, communication, and digital marketing skills.

 

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

​

  • Developing and executing social media strategies to meet marketing objectives.

  • Creating and curating high-quality content for various social media platforms.

  • Managing and maintaining a content calendar for consistent posting.

  • Monitoring and responding to comments and messages on social media platforms.

  • Conducting research on industry trends and competitors for effective social media campaigns.

  • Analyzing and reporting on social media performance using analytics tools.

  • Running paid advertising campaigns on social media platforms if required.

  • Engaging with the online community and fostering positive relationships.

  • Collaborating with the marketing team to align social media efforts with overall marketing goals.

  • Staying updated on social media trends, platform updates, and best practices.

 

Job Requirements:

 

  • Strong understanding of social media platforms and best practices.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Creativity and the ability to create engaging content.

  • Proficiency with social media management tools and analytics.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple social media platforms.

  • Reliable internet connection and a quiet workspace.

  • Time management skills to meet posting schedules and campaign deadlines.

  • Familiarity with graphic design and video editing tools is a plus.

 

Preferred Previous Work Experiences:

 

  • Previous work experience as a Social Media Manager, Digital Marketing Specialist, or in a related role.

  • Experience developing and implementing successful social media campaigns.

  • Familiarity with social media advertising, including Facebook Ads, Instagram Ads, and other paid platforms.

  • Experience in managing and growing social media followings.

  • Previous work in remote roles or as a freelance social media manager.

  • Demonstrated success in increasing engagement and brand visibility on social media.

  • Knowledge of social media trends and emerging platforms.

 

Preferred Degrees:

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Marketing, or a related field.

 

Working Conditions:

 

  • This is a remote position, and the Remote Social Media Manager can work from their own location.

  • The role may require availability during specific times when target audiences are most active on social media, which could include weekends or evenings.

  • Supervision:

  • The Remote Social Media Manager may work independently, but they may report to a marketing manager or team leader for guidance, task assignments, and campaign coordination.

 

Performance Standards:

  • Performance may be evaluated based on social media growth, engagement metrics, the success of marketing campaigns, and adherence to brand guidelines.
